Murray-Darling Regenerative Agriculture

This aggregated project brings together 40 farming properties across 18,000 hectares in the Murray-Darling Basin, transitioning from conventional to regenerative agricultural practices. Key interventions include rotational grazing management, multi-species cover cropping, reduced tillage, and strategic tree planting along waterways. Soil carbon is measured through a network of 320 permanent monitoring plots, with baseline and periodic sampling to 30cm depth.

Early results show an average 0.4% increase in soil organic carbon across participating properties, with corresponding improvements in water retention, soil biology, and drought resilience.
